Thank you so much for your prayers and encouragement today. I definitely felt the Holy Spirit moving through me today. I am blessed to have a group of men who are faithful in prayer for me, my family and our church. I am convinced that as we continue to pray together, study His word and elevate Christ to His place of prominence in our individual and corporate lives that we will get through this transition.
I was struck today by a particular theme in the people who responded during each service. Every person I prayed with was seeking reconciliation with a family member, friend or co-worker. It's amazing how the great accuser works to destroy relationships! This week remember Romans 12:18 - as best you can live at peace with all brethren. Remember, that Jesus is our peace, he is the source of reconciliation. Take a look this week at your relationships.
The week ahead looks to be a busy one, lots of appointments, meetings Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday night and the Elder Prayer retreat Friday and Saturday. Please pray the following for me this week -
1) treat my wife with respect and patience
2) devote enough time to study of His word
3) healing for my throat
4) a close encounter with God at the prayer retreat
Thank you for all you do at the church. It is a privilege to serve along side of you!
