What a week! I have heard other pastors speak about the responsibility of studying the word of God in preparation for a message and balancing that with other ministry responsibilities as well as family. Well, I got a taste of that over the last week. Needless to say I have had no trouble falling asleep at night!

Thank you again for your prayers and encouragement. My prayer for you is that you will be encouraged as we elevate Jesus Christ through our study of Colossians. This week we hit the crux of the book, chapter 1:15-20 as Paul explains who Christ is.

In my study this week I came across a passage from Isaiah that I believe will be helpful to us all as we search for our next Senior Pastor

1 But now, this is what the LORD says—he who created you, Jacob, he who formed you, Israel: "Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine.
2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
3 For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior;

What a great promise for us as we move through a transition.

Please pray for me this week in the following areas:
1) Protection of health - much sickness in the home!
2) Emptying of self, filling of the Holy Spirit
3) Make time for family - have not seen the kids in a couple of days
4) The ability to clearly communicate the word of God

Again, thank you for your prayers!

Pastor Jeremy
